Why Do So Many People Quit Their New Year's Resolutions by Quitter's Day?
What is Quitter's day?
Words I like: If it was easy everyone would do it. -Probably a human on earth
Pablo’s Perspective:
Did you know the second Friday of January is called "Quitter's Day"? That’s because it’s when a lot of people throw in the towel on their New Year's resolutions. In fact, most resolutions don’t even make it to the four-month mark!
Why Do Resolutions Fall Apart?
There are plenty of reasons resolutions don’t stick:
Too big or unrealistic: Setting huge goals or trying to change everything at once can feel impossible.
Not enough time: Life gets busy, and resolutions often take a backseat.
Money issues: Some goals need cash, and not everyone has extra to spare.
No plan or confidence: Without a clear roadmap or belief in yourself, motivation fades fast.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
In 2019, Strava found that 80% of people gave up by Quitter's Day.
By 2024, Drive Research showed that nearly a quarter of adults quit by mid-January.
2023 Forbes Health reported most resolutions don’t even last four months.
The key? Keep your goals small, realistic, and fun. Make a plan, and execute!
Also—it’s okay to mess up and keep going!
This is your reminder to keep pushing forward!
